  1. I’ve used this for two days now and I’m satisfied. It is cheaper than the competitors that I have seen but, judging by the reviews, it seems to offer the same functionality. It’s simple to use and counts calories, fat, carbs; keeps a diary to keep track of everything day by day. The downside is it doesn’t have a lot of the foods that you might expect. For those foods you input them once, name them, and then it stores them for future use. Over the course of a couple of weeks I would guess you would have most everything in there that you want. In the end, it gives you a pretty accurate picture of how many calories you are consuming. I have found it is very helpful in finding substitutes for the worst things I eat.

This product is ok for the price but has several features missing that I would have liked. The one I got doesn’t track fiber or sodium. But the major problem I have with it is that you can’t connect it to a computer to print out a weekly diet sheet. Also you can only add 100 foods that are not listed and they only include 800 foods, so I find that I’m adding “raw egg” instead of “boiled egg” because it is not listed and I don’t want to waste my 100 entries on something that has the exact same calories. Also the closure on it is a little bit hard to open. I will probably use it until I get something better and then sell it to someone in my diet group (or on ebay).

  3. To me, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread (oops!) Seriously, I’ve had it for about 2 years now and carry it every day in my pocket when I’m in a weight loss mode. I’ve been able to keep off the extra weight for 2 years now, so I think it is a good “assistant”.

It has lots of pre-programmed foods, and you can add your own (I think 100?). It also has a quick look feature so you press one button and see how many more calories you have for the day.

It’s not expensive, and it reliable–highly recommended.

This is the product i’ve been searching for a long time now. It does exactly what i want it to do, count and keep up with my calories. I have wanted to start keeping a food journal for a while, but never found the time to pull out a list of foods and look them up and write them in a notepad. This product makes it super simple and easy. I have had it 3 days and already see a difference it my calorie intake. The seller was also great in getting it to me very quickly. I would buy this product for any of my friends wanting to keep up with calories and lose weight.

I got this little gizmo about 3 months ago and it has come in very very handy. It has a fairly comprehensive database of simple foods already present and allows me more than enough space to add what it didn’t have (I have only had to add about 15 items to it). Plus you can always manually enter the info you need on the go. It is light weight and fits comfortably in my pants pocket so it is easy to take with me to work.

It’s diary system helps you keep track of your daily intake of Calories, Carbs, Fat, Protein, and Fiber. It will also allow you to view your average intake of all of the above over whatever length of time you like (i.e. last week/month).

It is not perfect, it does not have as large a database as some of the other models (no restaurants) and it’s interface takes a little getting used to (though not much). All in all, though, this is more than worth your while if you are looking for something you can carry around with you to help you count calories while saving a little money.
