<p>Fad diet is the term that describes an array of diet approaches used to temporarily lose weight through unsafe and unrealistic methods. Quick fix programs do not work&#8230;although millions of dollars are spent each year. These programs offer a quick loss of weight but sadly the weight is gained right back because people return to their old eating habits and old life style.</p>
<p>There are many kinds of<span id="more-253"></span> fad diets. Avoid those types of diets that recommend a certain nutrient, or combination of foods encouraging you to loss weight fast. Fad diets do not teach lifestyle habits for long-term weight management, they do not help people gain the will power to change a lifestyle with another.</p>
<p>Diets promoting a very low calorie system, approximately 1,000 to 1,500 calories per day and with no exercise program cause the body to become less efficient at burning fat, making it easier to store fat and regained weight each time a diet is stopped. In the long run this fad diets makes a person fatter instead of leaner. Ultimately these fad diets are not safe.</p>
<p>Only your weight and exercise level determines the number of calories that is right for your diet program and only healthy lifestyle habits will maintain long-term weight control. Healthy lifestyle habits include regular exercise, behavior modification, and a healthy, nutritious diet with a wide variety of foods.</p>
<p>People should be aware of their health problems before engaging in a diet program. All diets should include a warning to check with a specialist before trying a diet. Also most fad diets make no mention of physical activity, which is essential in the process of weight loss and some of these diets can actually harm one’s health.</p>
<p>The majority of fad diets involve a 10 day to 1 month period in which your diet is restricted to a select collection of bad-tasting, inconsistent health foods or recipes. The fads diet is generally advising you to completely avoided fats.</p>
<p>Due to water loss from this period, as a reaction to the starvation process, you will quickly lose weight. And, as you continue to starve, your body starts working in order to keep up with the energy needs. But you are still not burning fats and as you avoid fats in your diet, your body will try to preserve the fat that it has in its store. And if you continue your diet up to a month your body will burn its stored fats having no other alternative to stay alive.</p>
<p>After this period the dieter starts getting weaker and he is not able to feel well and perform its normal duties because it requires a lot more effort and time for the body to produce energy from fat rather than from muscle.</p>
<p>At a certain time the dieter is back to his normal eating habit but it will take some time before the reconstruction of your muscle occurs and during this time, the body stores most of the food intake as excess fats. Therefore at the end of the reconstruction process, the dieter is back to his initial weight gaining back the weight he lost in the starvation process and little bit more.</p>
<p>A diet regards the proper nutrition for a normally developed human and it should contain vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates AND fats. An imbalanced process may cause starvation or excessive reserves of body fat.</p>
<p>By using fad diets in your weight loss process your body will experience both starvation and weight gain in a short amount of time.</p>

<p>When we talk about fitness, it can either be performance-related fitness or health-related fitness.  This teen fitness article focuses on both type of fitness that affects both the mind and the body of teen guys and teen girls.  Being fit gives you more energy for work, school, and allows you to enjoy life better.  It wards off heart attack, colon cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure; and being fit does not only assures good health but it makes you feel good about you and<span id="more-198"></span> lets you stay active.</p>
<p>Yoga does a lot of great things to the mind and body of teenagers.  It’s a simple solution to beating stress from exams, peer pressure, social anxiety and fear of being ridiculed common to teen guys and girls alike.  If perform before and after study hours, yoga can have tremendous relaxing benefits that allows the mind to perform better. </p>
<p>Teens who are independent and loved variety can engage in aerobic exercise outside the gym.  Running, cycling, swimming, tennis, dancing, are just some of the many that you can engaged in to build stamina and endurance while strengthening your heart muscle for better health.  A 20 minute intense aerobic exercise three or more times a week is recommended by the American Heart Association.  Active teenagers are most likely to develop active and healthy lifestyle as they grow older, and are healthier than their sedentary counterparts. </p>
<p>Teen wants to stay on top of everything; why not stay on top of your self defense.  Martial art such as Kung Fu is a fun and exciting way to stay fit while building your confidence that comes from knowing that you can protect yourself.  Martial art training relives tension and stress you experienced as a teenager whilst building up your fitness level.  Spending time training martial arts is also a great diversion to occupy your self learning productive activities than otherwise. </p>
<p>The cheapest way to stay healthy and fit for teenagers is to have a good, well balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals, and fibers from fruits and vegetable.  Boys trying to beef up their muscles need to eat more protein rich food to spur muscle growth.  It’s not so much about dieting but rather it is about healthy eating.  When you are younger, your body’s metabolic processes are most likely working well so that you do not need to worry too much about calories.  Naturally though, teenagers are active so that you need more calories than adults.  However, if you tend to be sedentary often, that’s when you get the problem of sugar and fats in your body.  That is why you need to live like a teenager, go out and have fun.   </p>
<p>You do not need a lot of money to finance your fitness activities.  You can seek advice from your friends or relatives who knows about staying fit and healthy, and just try to fit their advice on your lifestyle, and financial and physical capacity.  Certainly staying away from smoking is the cheapest and surest way to ensure healthy lungs and tip-top stamina.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Many obese or over weight people at some  point or the other in their lives find out that they are suffering from  serious diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol levels. These diseases  are life threatening and being obese or over weight is the prime reason  for contracting these diseases. Losing weight and leading a healthy  lifestyle is the only way to control and minimize the adverse effects  of this life threatening diseases. Here are a few effective ways, which  should be practiced religiously in an effort to control excess weight.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">One should have light meals at regular  intervals during the day. The long idle time between breakfast, lunch  and dinner should be supplemented with light snacks. Having these light  snacks at regular intervals, ensure that the metabolism of the body  gets the required amount of energy for burning fat during the day. Also  the regular eating habit will ensure that there is not deposition of  fat inside the body, and the body is burning its fat content to provide  energy for the body to combat the rigors of the daily hardships.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Eating correctly and the right kind of  food are very important. The food intake should be high on essential  vitamins required by the body and low on calories and carbohydrates.  Eating raw vegetables and salads without dressings is the ideal food  type that should be included in the diet intake of the over weight people.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-38"></span>Fluids intake especially water is one  of the most important tool which helps in keeping the weight under check.  One should at least drink 8 – 10 glasses of water in a day. Having  lots of water gives a feeling of fullness to the individual who will  then avoid eating harmful junk food at irregular time and also helps  in maintaining the fluid content preventing dehydration.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">An active lifestyle ensures a check on  weight. Individuals must follow a proper exercise regime in order to  keep in shape. Simply walking for about half n hour everyday for people  who cannot take out time for exercise will help them in their effort  of losing weight.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">One should follow a schedule wherein  they lose weight gradually. Sudden loss of weight is not good for the  body and it also increases the chances of regaining the lost weight  that much more. One should give enough time for the weight loss program  to function and show gradual results. Any program which advocates sudden  or drastic decrease in weight levels should be avoided.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is always advisable to seek the help  of experts before adopting any weight management program. This will  help in selecting the program that is ideal for the body type and will  also help the individual in knowing the correct way of implementing  the plan.</p>
